I love a good bible story, but when it comes to reading the bible with my kids, it’s hard to keep them interested for longer than ten minutes.
My daughter loves to read about princesses and talking animals, while my son loves a good action story with superheroes and fast cars. Although my kids are only two years apart, it’s hard to find a book that all of us can enjoy together. Despite our differences, one thing that we all have in common is that we love to laugh.
When Erika over at MomSetsTheTable.com sent us her new book, it became an immediate hit with my six and eight year olds. Erika wrote Untold Bible Stories for Kids using humor combined with gorgeous illustrations to bring not-so-popular bible stories to life. We were hooked and interested from the very first page.
Have you heard the story of the little kids who were attacked by bears for teasing and name-calling?
Did you hear about the prophet who had to cook his food with poop?
Do you know the stories of the evil fat king or the talking donkey?
These 10 Bible stories were written for children, specifically 6-9-year-olds. The stories are quick, fun, and kept us giggling from the first page to the last. Best of all, this book is teaching my children to enjoy reading the bible.
What more can a Mama ask for?
Erika Vose authored this book after she had a good belly-laugh while reading her bible. Through laughter, God restored her joy after a season of depression. As we read her book, we are able to share the same laughter and joy she received from reading the stories.
Thanks, Erika!
